ANSWERS ABOUT ADDICTIONS!

Some answers to Some questions that
Some Christians might have regarding
Addictions and sin.

Are you reading this because you're a Christian?
Are you reading this because you're an addict?
Or an Alcoholic? Or struggle with other sin?
Are you reading this because you're looking for the
answer to staying Clean and Sober without Relapse?
Are you a Born Again Christian?
Are you Confident of your Salvation?
Do you study God’s Word, The Bible?
Do you believe it to be the Truth?
Do you believe God can set you free?
Do you believe God’s will is for you to be set free?
Do you believe that you deserve to be set free?

If you've answered YES to all of these questions, you're on the right track. If you've answered NO to any of them, your Recovery will be delayed until you've answered them all with a resounding YES!  If you believe God can’t help you, or that you need more help than God can provide, you’re on the wrong track! If you've answered yes to all of the above questions and are still struggling with addictions, something’s missing in your relationship with God. There are several things that many Christians often fail to recognize as being vital in having a healthy and Blessed relationship with God, and crucial  in addiction recovery!
The first one is usually a lack of Faith. Many claim that they trust God and have Faith in Him, until the first trial comes along, and their prayers, (if there are any), are not answered immediately. This is not Faith! God’s Word is clear, Matthew 17:20, He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” You said above that you believe God’s Word is the truth. Those are Jesus’ words in Matthew 17:20. Are you calling Jesus a liar? Or will you choose, right this minute to accept all of the Gospel as the absolute Truth which it is, and begin living your life in victory?  You must learn to grow your Faith. One way to do this is to learn to “pray without ceasing,” 1 Thessalonians 5:17, or pray until your knees bleed! Pray in Faith until the Prayer is answered. Recognizing all the while that God often “tests” His sheep by delaying His answers until He knows you've passed the test. You must learn to live and accept his words in Matthew 6:10, may “Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven,” Not “our will.” Until we learn not to be part of the “Ye of little Faith” crowd, we can expect trials and tribulations in our lives until God is done molding us into the person He’s created us to be according to His purpose and will for us, not ours. Going through the “Refiner's Fire” is as important in building our Faith as any other part of our relationship with God. Paul tells us in Romans 8:28, “Whatever the reason for your trial, know that God has purpose in adversity and that He has allowed it for your good.” We refuse to allow Him to mold and shape us when we cower in the corner whenever God asks us to serve Him in some way, to “take up our cross and follow him,” to lead a bible study, or start a ministry, etc. We need to have the Faith of a mustard seed before we can take the tiniest leap of Faith.
Another shortcoming many Christians seem to encounter, is failing to recognize that God expects us to repent of our sin and to be obedient to His Word and commands. Psalm 103:17-18 says, “But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children 18, with those who keep his covenant  and remember to obey his precepts.”  Most of Gods promises are “conditional” upon our obedience. A very popular example is one of several places where Jesus tells us He will “Set us Free”. John 8:31-36 is one of those places for example, but rarely, if ever is there any emphasis put on verse 32, where Jesus says “If  ye continue in my word,”(KJV), or in NIV it translates to “If you hold to my teaching,” or in the NKJV, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.” 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” The emphasis here is on the word “IF,” which of course means that we have to do something to be “set free.” We must follow God’s teachings, we must be obedient. This exact scenario plays out in hundreds of verses throughout the Bible, relating to many subjects including Salvation. The primary condition to be saved is “Faith,” Ephesians 2:8, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
Another reason many fall short of living a Blessed life with Christ is a total lack of communication with God. Their prayer life, and time spent reading His Word is a disaster! Studying, praying, and meditating over His Word or through His Word, is the only way to develop a relationship with Him. It’s the only way to get to know and understand God and His plan and purpose for you. And there is not a more wasted life, than the life of a Christian who doesn’t know his purpose in God’s Kingdom. That Christian will miss out on many of God’s Promises and Blessings. That Christian may suffer many more trials and tribulations as God tries to reach them and get their undivided attention. The sooner we learn to communicate with God, the sooner we'll start receiving His answered prayers and Blessings. Many, don't even ask god, Matthew 21:22, And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Many wait until the peak of a trial, and then ask their friends and neighbors to pray for them! Many have no idea what it means in, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18,  Rejoice evermore., 17 Pray without ceasing., 18 In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Many have yet to learn or understand the concept and significance of my favorite quote to those asking for prayer in the midst of a trial, “Are your knees bleeding”?
Still another reason for finding ourselves in dark places, and asking “why God?”, is that we refuse to surrender to God. We might feel that we've repented and turned to God, but are we constantly looking over our shoulder, lusting after certain elements of the world that we've left behind? Do we have one foot in God’s Kingdom, and the other stuck in some worldly vice? Are we easily swayed by the enemy into believing false doctrine because we're spending too much of our time participating in worldly activities, rather than Godly activities? God wants our total surrender, not just an hour or two on Sunday. You might be breaking God’s Heart if you're out playing golf, at a football game or a motorsports event, on a hunting trip, shopping at the mall, or just sitting on the couch hypnotized by the TV, at a time when He wants to have fellowship with you. If we're busy breaking God’s heart much of the time, why should we expect any blessings from Him, or for him to answer our selfish prayers?
I believe that once we've learned to surrender enough of our “old self,” to reach a point that when we do look over our shoulder, instead of experiencing any lust, we'll only feel gratitude that we no longer live there, that once we've reached a point that we know what it means to pray until our knees bleed, we'll finally begin to recognize God’s voice, that once we've become obedient to God’s Word and commands, and that once we've developed the Faith of a mustard seed, we'll begin to feel the peace that accompanies God’s many blessings. That we'll begin to see fewer and fewer trials and tribulations. We'll see less temptation to sin and fall into relapse of our addictions, until eventually we can claim victory over them through Christ and see ourselves as SAVED and SOBER!

The Truth Rejected!

The Truth Rejected!

A Bible study for addiction recovery. A lesson
in rejecting God's Truth, and following
man’s lies, according to scripture.

The Truth has never been very popular amongst sinners.
The bearer of “Good News” is rarely welcomed,
even in the darkest times and places.

The Truth will be Rejected!
My Messages in Addiction Crucifixion Fellowships various formats are often rejected even by Christians who are suffering in the bondage of addictions because the Truth is rarely taught in churches today.Churches have been teaching feel good, name-it-and-claim-it, prosperity messages in order to build membership numbers and consequently their bank accounts.  It Seems they “can't see the forest for the trees.”

Galatians 4:16, "Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?"
2 Timothy 4:4, They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
2 Timothy 3:7, Always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.
Hebrews 10:26, If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,
1 John 1:6, If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
2 Thessalonians 2:10, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
Acts 20:30, Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them.

James 5:19-20, My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, 20 remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.

Mark 7:9 (KJV), “And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.”
Paul says in Romans 2:8,…"But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger." He also says in 1 Corinthians 4:14,… “I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.” And he goes on to say in 1 Thessalonians 4:7-9, “For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. 8 Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.” And God says in Ezekiel 3:17-19,…“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 18 When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 19 But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself. And in Ezekiel 33:9, He says, “But if you do warn the wicked person to turn from their ways and they do not do so, they will die for their sin, though you yourself will be saved.”

The messages of God’s Truth that I share in the various Addiction Crucifixion Fellowship Ministries, the website, the blog site  and the Facebook pages are often rejected, criticized, even condemned. The concept of being “Saved and Sober” in one simple step, “being Born Again,” (John 3:3), seems to be foreign to many people who have been brainwashed into believing that man’s secular 12-step addiction recovery programs are not only the best way to recovery, but are better than God’s way! While this ministries main focus and message is directed primarily towards a Christian audience, it seems to fall on deaf and mute ears and mouths most of the time. This sad but true commentary bear’s out the truth in Jesus’ words in Matthew 7:13-15,…“and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
People, it seems, including many professing Christians, are often unwilling to accept god's Truth as the Truth, because it’s rarely taught in today’s church, and consequently sounds foreign to them. The message taught in most churches today is a watered down, feel-good, name-it-and-claim-it prosperity message, a modern day version of the ancient Roman Catholic practices of indulgences,… buy and work your way to Heaven. There’s rarely a mention of the need for Grace, Obedience, Faith, or Repentance. There would be no “Mega” churches today if people thought they had to change their lifestyles and give up their precious sin to get to Heaven. The idea of obeying God or following Christ would empty most churches. There may be an occasional and casual reference to some Truth, whispered by some pastors, but it’s hidden in the veneer or façade of religious psycho-babble. It’s relevance to our Salvation is avoided so as to not drive away the flock.
The flock has been mislead over the years into believing that a few scriptures like 1 John 1: 8-10, or Romans 7: 14-20, justifies our sin. No scripture justifies our sin! Nothing justifies our sin. And yet most of our churches are condoning all sorts of sinful behavior today. Christ died on the Cross as a Sacrifice for our sin. He died in our place. And only by His Grace are we Saved, when we do fall short. Because of man's fall in the Garden we all became sinners by nature. Because He Loves us, God sent us His Son, (John 3:16) to be a Living Sacrifice for those of us who believe that He was Crucified and buried, that He has Risen from the grave and has ascended to the right hand of God in Heaven, and sent us the Holy Spirit as an advocate for us.
He did not die in vain as an excuse or a justification that we might  keep on sinning. He died as a Sacrificial Lamb “for” our sin! Anyone who believes that their sin is somehow justified in a few out of context verses, needs to read Romans 6 in as many translations and as often as necessary until God reveals His Truth to you on the issue. Satan doesn't want any of us to know this, or any other Truth! Satan wants to deceive us into  believing his lies and keep us in our sin so we can spend eternity with him, and not with God! That’s been satans plan since the Garden, and will be until Christ returns.
In addiction recovery for Christians, the simple choice is, do I believe satan, and the worlds failed way of recovery, or God, and His Truth, which will lead to being “Set free” from the bondage of sin? (John 8:31-36) The answer should be a simple one, but again, there has been so much false teaching in the church, that the Truth has been lost. And any person choosing not to live according to God's Truth is also lost. The choice is yours, choose God or satan, choose the Truth or the lie, choose sobriety and Salvation or addiction and sin.

Romans 2:8,  "But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger."
1 Corinthians 4:14, “I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.”
1 Thessalonians 5:14, “Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.”
Ezekiel 33:9,  “But if you do warn the wicked person to turn from their ways and they do not do so, they will die for their sin, though you yourself will be saved.”
Acts 20:31,  “So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.”

Romans 6 NIV
Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ
6 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.

8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. 14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

Slaves to Righteousness

15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! 16 Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. 18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.

19 I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness. 20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. 21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Denial in The World of Corporate Addiction Recovery

Denial in The World of Corporate
Addiction Recovery

Denial is not just a problem limited to alcoholics and addicts. The huge corporate addiction recovery “Industry” has a serious “denial” problem of its own! Most of the “industry” revolves around one simple and age old 12-step program known as AA, that was started decades ago by two recovering alcoholics. Today, those involved in these secular 12-step addiction recovery programs, have turned them into false idols and will worship and  defend them to the bitter end, claiming great success, because they cannot “see the forest for the trees.”
If secular 12-step addiction recovery programs are so successful, why is drug and alcohol use and abuse spreading at such an alarming rate? Anyone with a pulse can see that the numbers keep rising year after year, decade after decade, like a runaway train, like a rising tsunami, so how does someone defend and justify the effectiveness and success of these programs? How do we call something a success, when millions of men, women, and children are being added annually to the rosters of the “Anonymous” alcoholics and addicts worldwide? Those who are overcrowding our jails and prisons, hospitals and mental institutions, the thousands upon thousands of various recovery homes and facilities, the homeless shelters that overflow into the streets, alleys, and gutters, and finally those who end up alone in a body bag on the way to a morgue or a grave?
In Washington, D.C., we have the “Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.” In every other town and city in America we have millions of unmarked graves for the unknown, “Anonymous” alcoholics and addicts, whose country let them down by just not giving a damn, and a failed 12-step recovery program whose last words to many of the dead and dying are, “keep coming back, it works”! Well guess what? It doesn’t work! If it worked you wouldn't have to keep going back! And it never has worked, and the unconscionable  increase in the numbers mentioned above is proof!
Sure a few will find lasting sobriety, usually after many years of relapses, after many divorces and broken relationships, after many lost jobs and careers, after many illnesses, and finally you put together a decent stretch of sobriety only to discover now that you have cirrhosis of the liver! How does one consider a program a success, after spending 5, 10, or 20 years or more in it suffering from relapse after relapse?
The answer is as simple as the fact that the sun will rise tomorrow! The answer is that the addiction recovery “industry” has become a huge “for profit” billion dollar a year business! If you think your “best interest” is in their “best interest,” you might need to check your calendar, this is 2013! As in any billion dollar a year business, the only “interest” is in “the bottom line”! And whether it’s consciously obvious or not, your early recovery is not in the best interest of their “bottom line” or profit margin. There are tens of thousands of business owners, corporate executives, and staff, who rely on your addictions and constant relapses to “bring home the bacon,” to pay the bills, and maintain the yacht and villa in the Bahamas. The owners and corporate execs bonuses depend on a quick turn around for more profits. You're little more than “inventory” in their eyes! And dollars in their bank accounts! You're sobriety takes a backseat to their profits! This is the primary reason why addictions in this country are rising exponentially. It’s why we're beginning to see some states legalizing drugs. Sadly I live in one of those states, and have had a birds eye view of the political rallying and wrangling  around the corporate funding, with no regard for the “best interests” of the general public or those with addictions. While the politicians and corporate leaders get richer, many of the anonymous victims of addictions just get closer to death.
Unless there is radical and monumental change in our culture, the dark road we've been on for decades is just going to keep getting darker. The slide into moral decay and depravity that we've been on will just keep getting steeper and deeper. If you're fortunate enough to live in the sober, clean, and straight world, where the word addiction is foreign to you, and you rely on the public news media for information about addictions, you'd be led to believe that the problem only exists in Hollywood, politics, and professional sports. Where victims spend millions of dollars in addiction recovery programs at beachfront and mountain vista resorts, over and over again, after relapse after relapse. Well you've got that part of it right. That is exactly how it works with the rich and famous. For the rest of the millions who don't make the headlines every time they relapse, there’s far less help available, and only to the employed middle and upper class who have insurance that will pay for recovery programs, (whether they work or not). And again, whether it’s the rich and famous, or those with insurance, it’s all about the money, paying for programs that have never had very much success.
The system is broken, and has been broken for decades, but as long as the rich can benefit from it and get richer, there is no incentive to fix it. Besides, most of the victims are unknown and anonymous. Most of those who fail to recover will eventually end up burning bridges with their families, unemployed, homeless, sick, and finally dead. Unknown to anyone but the Coroner. And because of their anonymity, they can't even be counted as a statistic.

JUDGING OR REBUKING?

Rebuke, Admonish, Correct, and Teach the Lost as Well as Those Who Have Been Mislead.
JUDGING OR REBUKING?
Matthew 7:1, “Do not Judge,” is used out of context probably more often than any other verse in defense of one's bad behavior, or faulty understanding of God's Truth, when confronted by a brother or sister in Christ. For most of  us, the moment we attempt to correct a brother or sister’s poor judgment, they recoil like a poked rattlesnake and accuse us of   judging them. Their pride controls their judgment. I believe we’ve arrived at the “time” mentioned below in 2 Timothy 4:3. And as he says in verse 2, we must show “great patience” if we're to convince anyone that Gods Word is the Truth, to those who've been mislead by false teachers into believing lies! Below is a list of scripture, God's Word, that shows that to Rebuke, Admonish, Correct, or Teach, is not only in any way, “not judging,” but it is our duty as Christians to Love and protect our brothers and sisters, and keep them out of harms way from an enemy that seeks to destroy them through false teachings.

Proverbs 9:7-9, Whoever corrects a mocker invites insults;
whoever rebukes the wicked incurs abuse.
8 Do not rebuke mockers or they will hate you;
rebuke the wise and they will love you.
9 Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still;
teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.
Romans 12:6-8,  (NIV)  6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
1 Timothy 4:11, Command and teach these things.
2 Timothy 2:2,  And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.
Titus 2:1, [ Doing Good for the Sake of the Gospel ] You, however, must teach what is appropriate to sound doctrine.
Proverbs 27:5, Better is open rebuke than hidden love.
Ecclesiastes 7:5, It is better to heed the rebuke of a wise person than to listen to the song of fools.
2 Timothy 4:1-3, In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2, Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 3, For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
Titus 1:12-14, One of Crete’s own prophets has said it: “Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons.” 13, This saying is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith 14 and will pay no attention to Jewish myths or to the merely human commands of those who reject the truth.
Titus 2:15, These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.
Romans 15:14, And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
1 Thessalonians 5:12, And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
2 Thessalonians 3:15, Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
Colossians 3:16, Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
Proverbs 15:10 (KJV), Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.
Proverbs 15:10 (NIV), Stern discipline awaits anyone who leaves the path,  the one who hates correction will die.
Proverbs 12:1, Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.
Proverbs 13:18, Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.
Proverbs 15:5, A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.
2 Timothy 3:15-17 (KJV), 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16, All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17, That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
1 Timothy 5:20, But those elders who are sinning you are to reprove before everyone, so that the others may take warning.

Ephesians 5:11, And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
2 Timothy 4:2, Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
1 Thessalonians 4:1, Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
1 Thessalonians 5:14, Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
Titus 2:15, These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
Hebrews 3:13, But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today  lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Proverbs 14:34 (KJV), Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
1 Timothy 3:6-8 (KJV), 6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. 7, Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. 8, Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;
Proverbs 9:8  (KJV)  Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
Proverbs 19:25 KJV, Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge.
Proverbs 30:5-7  (KJV) 5, Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. 6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. 7 Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
Ephesians 5:11, And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
2 Timothy 4:2, Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
Mathew 28: The Great Commission, 16, Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Jude 1:2-4, 2, Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance. 3, Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people. 4, For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.
